I really love making cards!
Of course what better time to make cards than at Christmas?
This week I thought I would get your mojo flowing this month I want to focus on some fun Christmas themed projects...cards, tags, wrapping, small gifts.
I thought I would start out with some "Tim Holtz" inspired cards. He has great dies for the sizzix and distress products that can help you create AMAZING Christmas cards. Here are some that I made.

This card I was inspired by these buttons I saw which were tree shaped, black and outlined in silver. I did have a picture BUT it was lost from my phone during upgrades!
But I really love this card, I think the black against the bluey-greeny background really creates a peaceful, quiet look to the card.
What can I say I'm a sucker for snowmen!
This snowman I cut out of grungeboard and (with a paint dauber)painted it. Then used distress ink and a foam pad to ink the edges. Then I used a texture fade and ran some used plastic packaging through to create the snow then highlighted certain snowflakes to sparkle. Love the way that red scarf pops out from the muted tones of the rest of the card.
I needed this die to make this card...I just love this old time feel. I also used distress powder for the tree to give it texture.
So ready, set, go! Get started on your Christmas cards!
