As I have been SMASHING this month, I have come across some items that I think really work well in the SMASH books!
They are of course awesome for scrapbooking layouts but work well with SMASH books too!
I started out with the "book of smiles" idea: This page makes me smile! I know that this one will be added to. The girls and I LOVE Starbucks and going out for Sushi when I look at this I think about the fun times and conversations we have sipping our Coconut Creme Fraps and eating Sushi! I am sad that it's almost back to school time...
These little paper bags work as excellent pockets for smashing! On this page I used them to hold some train passes from our trip to Minneapolis. Went I put this page together it definitely reminds of everything about the experience all these little things that you might have forgot. We went to a basketball game at Target Centre so I used items with a basketball theme but the train ride was a fun part of the day. Sometimes the journey is fun too!
I have found that "scraps" from your stash are great for SMASHING because you don't need a lot of the product because the pages are smaller. Sometimes you have items left over from something that is not really enough for a layout but adds a nice element to a SMASH page.In this page the "doll" I made was something left over I had, I wrapped it with the twine, to create a dress! I am really loving using my paints and doodles to add to my pages. I created the background of the page with some paints and used water color crayons to doodle on the page.
In this page it was a page I had last time but has changed yet again. SMASH pages can constantly change because there always room to add something else! I love the idea of adding drawings the girls make me lots of cute pictures and they are were so proud that I would put them in my SMASH book, they were looking for just the right one!
This process never ends it's just always evolving...
