This week at Love is in the Details...
This week I wanted to show you how I decorated the cover of my SMASH book.
I really enjoyed personalizing this book! I think that with the smash books you have so many opportunities to make it your own.
I choose the Pretty Pink book and this is what it looked like before I added my personal touch. There is a embossed pattern of the front cover of most of the books the pink has a floral pattern.
I decided to paint the flowers to really make them POP! I used the Claudine Hellmuth paints for the cover.
They are perfect for this because of the varying coverage you can get with this paint. Very soft and translucent good for shading and very heavy and solid for more graphic appearance just depending on how much you apply.
I then decided that it needed to be outlined in black. I always find the black outline just gives it a finished look. After outlining everything in black I then covered the outline in glossy accents and of course added some sparkle with Stickles! The glossy accents I am just loving lately in all my projects it gives it a "wet" look, awesome effect!
Here is my finished cover:
I hope that you are enjoying the process of Smash and all the exciting elements to this line!
