I am going to tell you a secret....I really hate doing the laundry!
So imagine my surprise when this embellishment idea JUMPED out at me while doing the laundry !!!!
Do you use these?
Now not that they actually have to be BOUNCE brand, but I'm sure you use dryer sheets.
After you have USED them for laundry , save them and make some flowers! These will make an awesome addition to any scrapbooking/card making project!
I got my used dryer sheets, sizzix machine and "Tattered Florals" Tim Holtz Sizzix (this die is on order and coming soon) and cut them out of the used dryer sheet.
This was the first flower I cut out, and then I scrunched up and stapled it into a poof. Then I misted it to give it color.
This one I gently used distress stain to color the petals, because the petals were flat you have more coverage of color then when I misted a flower after it was scrunched together. Then I scrunched it and stapled this one as well.
Here is the flower "poof" I created when attaching them together.
This is the card I created with this flower "poof"!
This flower I used the distress inks and handle with a foam on it to put the ink on. Worked very well but you need to be gentle when applying because the flower can rip.
Here is the completed flower.
This is the card I made with the second flower and I edged the flower with glossy accents to give it some dimension.
The last flower I covered with Claudine Helmuth matte medium once dry it made the dryer sheet stiffer, you could keep drying and reapplying the matte medium to get the stiffness you desire.
Here is the finished flower that I then painted with Smooch Ink and outlined in Stickles.
This is the card I created with this flower.
