I really love making cards.
Cards are a great way to get the mojo flowing, use up scraps and inspire you to break out the new stuff!
Sometimes when I am looking for ideas I can turn to the supplies I have and find a little piece of paper here or some embellishments and maybe it doesn't suit your latest layout, but it can always be made to work for a card because your not trying to work with a certain photo.
You can create any theme you want.
In the first card, I was just clearing up my scrapbooking table and found some papers that I hadn't put away yet and when looking at them in the pile thought that these papers look good together. Then I brought out the hanging crystals. I have wanted to do this with a bird cage but didn't have a layout the it really fit with. I thought the cage suited this paper.
In the second card I found this older paper set Nutmeg by Cosmo Cricket. I love this paper!
After making the above card with the Nutmeg paper I found this picture and thought that paper would be perfect to use with this paper. So I feel like the card was a sort of jumping off point for the layout.
In this card I just looked through my scrap drawer and created a great background for the start of a card that could work with all kinds of themes.
I hope that some of these ideas inspire you to create some cards of your own!
Remember Valentine's is coming soon......
