Doilies

I thought I would show some examples of how I have used doilies in my projects.

I hope the following examples inspire you to add a lacey touch to your projects.

In the first two examples I wanted to show the way I layered them, in the second example I just wanted to show how I inked them with Tim Holtz Distress Ink and then change the color to suit you color combination.





In the second example I cut the doily to make a butterfly. Also not forgetting to get my stickles in I sparkled up the butterfly and I felt outlining the butterfly gave it definition.



In the third example I cut the doily to create a Christmas tree and also inked this with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. The doilies really take the ink well, be gentle as you are applying because the can be fragile around the edges.
